C.H.A.N.G.E.R.S. proposal – submitted by a four-member partnership led by CAM – and the #keepup project have also been granted under the Erasmus+ Programme. This great success strengthens us to follow our mission to facilitate reaching green objectives and lifelong learning.

C.H.A.N.G.E.R.S. (Exchanging good practices to Change Household Attitudes for a Non-wasteful, Green environment and Energy-consciousness addressing Rural Seniors) will be implemented in a strategic partnership. According to our conducted desk research, European households have had a steady contribution of approximately 25-27% to the final energy consumption since 1995.  Thus, the overall objective of the C.H.A.N.G.E.R.S. project is to EXCHANGE THE GOOD EXAMPLES ON ADULT EDUCATION of the project partners through 4 short-term joint staff trainings covering three main topics: ENERGY EFFICIENCY, RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES and SUSTAINABILITY in HOUSEHOLDS. Although several learning materials are available online in these topics, there are social groups e.g. the RURAL POPULATION or SENIOR CITIZENS, who have little or no chance to gain knowledge in these topics. It is also important to note that Europe’s population is getting older while 6% of the EU’s silver generation (55+) has NO INTERNET ACCESS, and 40% of them never used internet. In this project, all partners have considerable experience in adult education and are committed to improve their knowledge and skills. The main outcomes of the project will be the collection of good examples and a recommendation document that serves as a user guide, explaining the ways the adult trainings might be prepared and done for seniors. The outcomes will be available on the partners’ websites, thus, they can be used for future projects and for further educational purposes.

When we started to work on the idea of #keepup, we considered the fact that, in general, small businesses are more vulnerable and have less opportunities to compete with large transnational companies while also tackling the adverse effects of climate change. It can be even more severe in case of businesses exposed to the phenomenon of seasonality, especially in the rural areas. Innovative digital solutions can provide efficient tools to overcome these challenges. However, people involved in these types of businesses very often have only low or medium level of IT knowledge. The overall objective of the #keepup project is to develop a training package for small, rural businesses covering (1) digital entrepreneurial competences, (2) e-commerce and (3) climate adaptation. The partnership would like to spread innovative practices in the digital era and prepare the stakeholders how to benefit from the advantages of digitalisation. With the developed learning materials, even small, rural businesses affected by seasonality can be more competitive, more open to sustainability and more flexible on climate-adaptation. The #keepup team consists of expert partners interested in adult education from 5 different countries, CAM is responsible for the module on enhancing climate adaptive entrepreneurial knowledge.
