CAM Consulting Ltd. has elaborated the Mid-term Energy Strategy for Rácalmás in the framework of project entitled Cooperation-based Innovative Service Development to Enhance Energy Consumption Consciousness and to Spread the Use of Renewable Energy Sources supported by the Norway Grants. Two Norwegian project partners, the Municipality of Stor-Elvdal and the Municipality of Elverum, have contributed to the preparation of the Strategy.
Energy and energy consumption have always been important to the Municipality of Rácalmás both from an economic and an environmental point of view. The next level of the commitment for sustainability is the Energy Strategy which aims sustainable urban planning and the idea of energy self-sufficiency. Sustainability is based on renewable energy, energy-awareness and social inclusion.
Based on the conclusions, the main goal of the Strategy for 2017-2021 is to establish a set of instruments for the sustainable urban planning and to recommend the most favourable set of measures. Energy Strategy defines all the regulatory, urban planning and development recommendations that can contribute to create an energy aware municipal government. Implementation Plan contains those measures which can achieve results in short-term.
