On October 15, 2024, the C.H.A.N.G.E.R.S.-2.0 consortium met in Athens for the last meeting hosted by KMOP, marking a significant step forward in empowering rural seniors across Europe. The gathering served as a crucial platform to discuss the project’s final phases, refine educational resources, and share valuable insights gained from the Piloting phase. As the project nears completion, the focus remains on crafting practical, sustainable solutions that address climate change, energy poverty, and resilience for rural seniors.

Throughout the meeting, consortium members engaged in detailed discussions on finalising tools and toolkits, ensuring they are aligned with the real-world needs identified during the project’s implementation. NYE and AMBESP, who completed the Piloting activities, presented compelling feedback from participants, shedding light on how the materials resonated with rural stakeholders. Their input emphasised the project’s positive impact, demonstrating how adaptable and accessible educational resources can significantly enhance rural seniors’ confidence and capability in tackling pressing sustainability issues.

The Athens meeting underscored the project’s dedication to high-quality, tailored educational content. Partners worked collaboratively to address any last refinements, ensuring the outputs are not only informative but also practical and engaging for seniors. As the project team integrates feedback from the Piloting phase, the materials are set to offer a blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on activities, empowering seniors to apply sustainable practices in their daily lives effectively.
